Impermanent Conversation: ICIT Creative Music Ensemble directed by Renee Baker

Inspired by impermanence, transient natures and simplistic joys, Ms. Baker presents a performance with ICIT’s CREATIVE MUSIC ENSEMBLE built upon graphism, spontaneity, CCL (CIPHER CONDUIT LINGUISTICS) and the great encumbrances we face as humans.

The Jason Harnell Solo Drum Experience May 23

Join us Thursday May we at 3:30 in MM 220 for the Jason Harnell Solo Drum Experience, a one-of-a-kind, mind blowing musical exploration through sight, sound and rhythm. Jason's solo drum concerts are consistently sold out, multi media events that tantalize the senses and explore the outer reaches of the musical universe. My Cultural Lens: Life As A Global Black Female Vocal Improviser

Brooklyn Sound Artist & Educator Fay Victor will give a talk around her work as an African-American/Caribbean artist articulating the experience of living NOW in the USA as a black female artist. Victor's vocal work incorporates her compositions, lyrics and free improvisation coming through a positively expressive lens of black female empowerment, encouraging confidence in using language and the voice itself.
