Jason's solo drum concerts are consistently sold out, multi media events that tantalize the senses and explore the outer reaches of the musical universe. Jason Harnell is a world renowned jazz drummer, educator, composer and bandleader who's unmistakable sound and style, as well as his boundless creativity and enthusiasm have made him a major contributor to the Southern California jazz scene for thirty years.

Jason has performed, recorded and toured with many of the world's top jazz musicians including Larry Goldings, Dave Douglas, Walter Smith III, Alan Ferber, Kate McGarry, Bob Sheppard and Maynard Ferguson. Jason is also the co-leader of four separate critically acclaimed original bands featuring: Joe Bagg, Jamie Rosenn, Ryan McGillicuddy, Matt Otto and Adam Benjamin. In addition, Jason performs regularly with the Los Angeles Jazz Quartet, featuring Larry Koonse, Darek Oles and Chuck Manning.

Jason is also one of the most in demand drum set educators in his field and is on faculty at University California Irvine, (2004-present) and at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood (2005-present). He also frequently teaches as a guest lecturer at Cornell University, California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), UCLA, USC, CSUN, University Nevada Reno, Cuesta College, Saddleback College, Morehead University Kentucky, Kansas University and has performed workshops and masterclasses all over the world.
