Sumanth Gopinath (University of Minnesota) will be giving a presentation entitled "Minimalism as Musical Ideology,” which reflects on the possibility of what it might mean for musical minimalism to function as a form of ideology, and investigates its use in public service-style advertisements concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.
