Paul Roth

Paul Nicholas Roth plays saxophone, composes, teaches, writes scholarship, and does community arts advocacy. His recent music is released through earwash records, which he co-directs (earwash.bandcamp.com); his academic projects have been published by Routledge, Indiana University Press, and Glissando. From 2013-2018, he served on the curatorial team for the experimental arts venue ‘ausland’ in Berlin, Germany. He is currently finishing his PhD studies in the UC San Diego Department of Music, and curates for the nettnett collective in Tijuana.

In winter 2024, Mr. Roth will teach MUS 148: Studies in Ethnomusicology: Advanced Concepts for Creative Music-Making.
