Adib Ghorbani is a multidisciplinary artist who integrates theater, music, and new technologies. Through the combination of theater, live music performance, sound design, and motion sensor technologies, he has shaped his unique style called “Silent Music” or “Electro-musical Mime”. Silent Music is his doctorate thesis and it offers a new field in composing creative projects, improvisation, and teaching music. Adib’s works span a wide variety of other genres such as modern theatrical music, opera, film, contemporary music, experimental music, and free improvisation. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the ICIT program (Integrated Composition, Improvisation, and Technology) at UC Irvine.
