This patch shows the basics of how to record and play back a sound file.
This example demonstrates how to record an audio file with sfrecord~.
To automate file creation of similarly named stereo sound files (for example, soundbite1, soundbite 2, etc), this patch allows you to send the desired file name into the left inlet, then a 1 message to start recording into sfrecord~ and a 0 to stop recording. The audio you want to record is expected in the second and third inlets.
This shows how to record into a sound file, and how to play back the contents of the file. The example also demonstrates how you can use a quick fade-in and fade-out to avoid clicks when doing realtime capture during a performance.
