Piano - Undergraduate Auditions
(15 minutes)
Note: In-person audition preferred for those who live within 100 miles
of the campus
(Jazz piano – See Jazz Studies)
Entering freshman and transfer student requirements:
- A prelude and fugue from Bach's Well-tempered Clavier or another
work by Bach of comparable difficulty
- A first movement of a classical sonata of the difficulty of a Beethoven's
sonata (excluding Op. 49, nos. 1 & 2 and Op. 79, and Mozart’s
K.545)
- A selection of your own choice from the romantic period or twentieth
century
