Listening to the Concerts of Remembrance of Things Past: A Proustian Extravaganza II

This lecture-recital offers a new perspective on Proust and music: what music-making implies in term of social and gender issues and how it relates to the creative process of Proust. Jérémie Favreau and friends will perform all the musical pieces performed in the concerts of Remembrance of Things Past.

Sound studies has established itself rapidly as a new discipline—or perhaps better, an interdisciplinary field—with canonic texts, handbooks, and readers acting as guides to the identity of the field, new graduate programs, and a burgeoning crop of annual conferences. AcaLove: Southern California's A Cappella Festival

UCI A Cappella and UCI Chamber Singers present the second annual AcaLove, which brings together award-winning groups from all over Southern California. AcaLove has hosted incredible groups that have competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, Los Angeles A Cappella Festival (LAAF), and been featured on the Best of College A Cappella compilation album. This year's performers include CSUN AcaSola, UCLA Resonance, UCLA Bruin Harmony, UCI United Voices, UCI Vermillion Vocalists, and special guests The Filharmonic.
