Impermanent Conversation: ICIT Creative Music Ensemble directed by Renee Baker

Inspired by impermanence, transient natures and simplistic joys, Ms. Baker presents a performance with ICIT’s CREATIVE MUSIC ENSEMBLE built upon graphism, spontaneity, CCL (CIPHER CONDUIT LINGUISTICS) and the great encumbrances we face as humans.

WEd. May 8, 8:00 p.m., MM 218

This performance is free and open to the public.

Reneé Baker is founding music director and conductor of the internationally acclaimed Chicago Modern Orchestra Project (CMOP), a polystylistic orchestral organization that grew from the plums of classical music as well as jazz. A visual artist, film artist, composer and recontextualist, Ms. Baker is a true engineer of multidisiplines. Layering movement, film projections of real and imagined things, she creates an exquisite arena of surrealiatic activity within a sonic theatre. She is a member of the world renown AACM.
