Professor Margaret Murata's “Theatri intra theatrum, or The Church and the Stage in 17th-Century Rome,” recently appeared in Sleuthing the Muse: Essays in Honor of William F. Prizer, K. Forney and J. Smith, eds (Hillsdale, NY: Pendragon Press, 2012). She will present present a paper entitled "Colloquy and Desolation in Italian Spiritual Monody" at the 19th Quinquennial Conference of the International Musicological Society (Rome, July 2012).
