In addition, she is a fortepianist who specializes in the repertoire and performance practice issues of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Sun has published and delivered papers on the music of La Monte Young, Brian Eno, Terry Riley, and editions of Beethoven's piano sonatas. She is currently working on a book project that examines the performance practices and reception histories of Experimental Music.
