Joseph Huszti*, the Director of UCI's choral program since 1977, has conducted a command performance at the White House and and was awarded an Ecumenical Medal by Pope Paul VI when his choir sang for a Papal audience. Huszti has also served on the American Choral Directors Association as President for the Western Division. Professor Huszti has expanded theUCI choral organizations to seven choirs and many chamber ensembles which now involve over 400 students, faculty, and community members.
