The UCI Campus Band (also know as the Spring Wind Symphony) convenes primarily during the Spring Quarter, and performs a mixture of light classics, symphonic pops, show tunes, and movie music. Its origins can be traced back to 1984, when the Anteater Band began a tradition of switching to 'concert' mode at the conclusion of the basketball season.
Membership is comprised of students, primarily non-music majors, along with alumni and community members. It consists of a mixture of returning Anteater Band members, as well as new musicians looking for an additional performance opportunity. We cordially invite all interested woodwind, brass, percussion, and string bass players to consider joining our ensemble as regular members.
