UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

All undergraduate programs require the UC Application for Admission. The application filing period for admission in the following Fall Quarter runs from November 1 through November 30.

Undergraduate transfer students, please review our information on Transferring to UCI.

Familiarize yourself with the UCI admission site. This site contains all of the information you need about general admission requirements for both freshmen admission and transfer admission, costs of attendance, housing, and even has an online application.

Review the academic program options offered in the Department of Music and determine whether you wish to apply for admission to the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Arts degree program.

Be sure to fulfill the appropriate audition requirement. Auditions are held on campus in late January; audition dates are posted on this website by November 1 each year. In some cases, you may submit an audio or video recording in lieu of appearing in person for an audition. (See the application requirements for details.) Currently enrolled UCI students who wish to declare the music major likewise must fulfill the appropriate audition requirement.

Submit applications for financial aid and scholarships, as appropriate. There is no need to submit a separate application for scholarships administered through the Department of Music.
