To help with healing, UC Irvine music students bring their instruments to Las Vegas shooting memorial

It is one week after 604 people were killed or wounded by a storm of bullets in Las Vegas. Near the city’s official entrance, Sarah Koo steps out of a van where 58 white crosses stand tall.
Blinded by her tears, the 37-year-old cellist tells herself to pull it together, that she’s a professor of music, that she’s here on a mission. Koo sets down her cello and draws the bow over the instrument’s four strings."
